Where It All Began ☀️
Before Sunshine’s Kitchen became a business, there was simply family, food, and a woman named Loreen “Sunshine” Brown.
My mother was the kind of person whose presence could make a place feel like home. Food was one of the ways love was shared in our family—through familiar recipes, full plates, laughter, conversations, and memories made around the table.
When I created Sunshine’s Kitchen, I wanted to build something that carried a piece of that feeling forward. I chose her name because I wanted every part of this business to remind me of where I came from and the woman whose love continues to inspire me.
Every dish I prepare is part of that legacy. Every table I serve gives me another opportunity to share the warmth, comfort, and love that inspired Sunshine’s Kitchen in the first place.
Her name is Sunshine. Her love is the foundation. Her legacy lives on. ☀️

I wish you were here to see what your name has become. I wish I could tell you about every idea, every accomplishment, and every dream I have for this business. Even though I can’t see you, I carry you with me through every step of this journey.
Naming Sunshine’s Kitchen after you is my way of keeping a piece of you present—in my kitchen, at my table, and in everything I create.
I hope I make you proud.
